Great guide ! We had a wonderful walk with Tom. We were a group of 11, and he took us for a half a day walk through the city. He was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. At the end of the tour we got some good tips where to spend the rest of the day. Amazing city, I will be definitely back. And I will try to find Tom for another good Scottish pint.

Lovely day in Edinburgh We had a lovely tour with Tom through Edinburgh! He told us a lot about the city and I enjoyed his Scottish humour. If you would like to get a glimp of the city, because it is to big to see in one day I would definitely recommend this tour.

Glasgow Photography at Night I was in Glasgow with Tom last Friday & couldn't have got a better night; I'm delighted with the pictures I got but even more pleased with what I learned from him. This will be great help when the nights are dry & clear & I can get out on my own for more night time photography. As others have said Tom is great company with knowledge on so many subjects. He certainly knows his photography & was very patient helping me learn new techniques. Thoroughly recommended.

All round excellent day Excellent day all round. Tom who was in charge of the trip was informative, nothing was too much trouble. As well as helping with all things photographic he had knowledge of the history of the glencoe area. This was an added bonus. Highly recommend photowalkscotland

Great photo walking tour of Edinburgh Tom was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and showed us some hidden gems to photograph in our 4 hour tour of central Edinburgh, as well as filling in a lot on the history of the area. He not only shared technical tips on taking better photos and how to adjust camera settings, but also how to tell a story with them which was great. I will now be seeking out old graveyards for more atmospheric and artistics shots! Strongly recommended.

Glencoe as I'd never seen it before! Amazing tour through Glencoe & Glen Etive. I've been several times before and often struggled to take photographs that convey the majesty of this landscape. Tom showed us several spots just off the beaten track that I would never have found without his guidance. With the popular views like the white cottage he suggested and encouraged us to find different perspectives. I felt so much more relaxed and able to enjoy the walks without the pressure of figuring out the best shot, knowing it was all taken care of and the angle I'll get will be the best possible view of this landscape. I did professional photography at one point in my career and know my way around a camera, but I feel like I still learned new things. It was also great to try out new bits of kit, such as filters. The walks we did to different 'photo spots' are suitable for all levels, I never felt pushed past what I'm comfortable with. I got the sense that Tom had several trails in mind and would be able to offer more challenging trails to the keener hikers. Could not recommend Photo Walks Scotland enough to anyone with an interest in photography and Scottish landscapes. And it did wonders for my Instagram account 🙂

Glencoe and Glen Etive Had a fantastic day with Tom in Glencoe and Glen Etive on Saturday. Met at the Green Welly at Tyndrum - loads of free parking - and after a quick coffee and breakfast roll, we were on our way. So many great locations during the day, from the iconic Black Rock Cottage overlooking Buachaille Etive Mor into Glen Etive with waterfalls and water features, then further down the valley for more spectacular views and more water features! Rounding the day off walking to the Study with fantastic views to the Three Sisters and down the valley. Tom had loads of great locations sorted for the day with alternative options where we were unable to stop. Great advice given to improve my photographs and try new things - my previously unused filters got an outing allowing me to try long exposure photography at the waterfalls, A really enjoyable day out. Good Locations. Good Company. Great Photographs.

Best walking tour in Glasgow I had a fabulous day with Tom in Glasgow. I live in Scotland and have visited Glasgow many times and thought I knew the city well. Tom introduced me to many new places I didn't know existed- and his knowledge of Glasgow's history is incredible! If you're visiting Glasgow I highly recommend you book a tour with Tom- I wouldn't travel Glasgow any other way. He also gave me some awesome tips for my photography and I saw a huge difference in the quality of my images right away. A+++++
